pay per post

After almost a month after signing up, this blog finally got approved! Thanks to Hanna for the info about this site. I guess i have to finish setting up my paypal account. Im still not sure how this payperpost thing works but I am willing to give it a shot. The extras earnings would really help a lot.

The blogging community is making its blast in the world wide web. And i thought why not take part in it? Im pretty sure most of the professional bloggers out there started blogging without aiming to get paid for it. I don't intend to be a professional blogger. My aim is still to express myself . And getting paid to do it is just an icing on the cake!

Let's see how this thing will turn out. If this will make me richer 5 dollars a day, then I guess that 45dollars a week would be more than enough for the comfort my writing caused me...

To elBi or not to elBi

It has always been a question mark. Every time we talk about the future, this question never fails to pop out:

"Should we allow the kids to study in UPLB?"

I guess we have had so much "fun" in our LB days that its just uncomfortable to think of the kids doing the same...

As a reaction to kei's blog about LB, i firmly believe that friendships made in UPLB are really just different. Different in the sense that the bonds made are so tight that the virtual connections can't be explained at all! We can give many reasons to this but to fully explain it is just impossible. LB people can list all possible reasons and im sure we all have our own different versions, but for all we know, its all cosmically caused by Maria Makiling!

And for that, i would like to thank Maria M. for that "special" LB bond.

For the good memories.
For the sad and suicidal moments.
For the seemingly endless fun.
For the knowlege-gained in and out of the classroom.
For the chance to taste one of the best tapsilog in town.
For the all-you-can-eat condiments of frankfurters.
For the best shawarma one can eat.
For the 3-for-10-peso siomai.
For friends.
For foes.
For my life in the stage.
For the tanduay-coke nights.
For giving me my Ada.

The list could go on and on... but most of all...

For my dear husband, i'm one of those lucky gals who got to marry her best (and worst) friend while in LB...

And to all those other LB couples out there, aren't you glad you checked UPLB campus in the UPCAT application form?!

I got my very first Facebook invitation some 2 years ago but totally ignored it because my multiply account and my wedding website were my babies then. After the wedding, i decided to jsut take care of multiply until 3 weeks ago when i made my Blogger account my official blog poster.

I was surprised and amazed when my boss asked me about facebook and how it works. I told him about it being similar to friendster but how can he understand when he does not have a friendster account and have no idea how friendster works?

And so, to teach him, i had to sign up for my own account and I did.

I like the simplicity of its interface. I just hope i can find more time to work around it. hirap coz it can eat up so much time. I have so much to do and no time to waste right now. Only a few minutes to post this.

after the long day....

After a long day at work, the battle with traffic and the ever reliable source of kulangot, smog in Metro Manila... what do you look forward to when you get home?

IN no particular order:
1. Dinner (lutong bahay - always something to look forward to!)
2. Kwento with my Kyan about the day that was...
3. After dinner yosi with Kyan and Wilson
4. Play time with Taal
5. Tucking ada to sleep
6. The quick shower (pero tabo lang naman)
7. Peace and quiet moment ---- this is usually when all's asleep.

I really have to get a full body massage soon. My muscles are begging me to get one!

I think i have to convince kyan to take the TV out of our room.... Next question is, where to move it to?

According to Wiktionary :
To sigh is:

  1. To inhale a larger quantity of air than usual, and immediately expel it; to make a deep single audible respiration, especially as the result or involuntary expression of fatigue, exhaustion, grief, sorrow, frustration, or the like.
  2. Hence, to lament; to grieve.
  3. To make a sound like sighing.
  4. To exhale (the breath) in sighs.
  5. To utter sighs over; to lament or mourn over.
  6. To express by sighs; to utter in or with sighs.
  7. To express frustration.
Ganu naman kamalas kung someone feels all the emotions in No. 1. *sigh*

footsie rattles

HAHAHA!! We actually bought a pair for Taal during our very first baby stuff shopping!! First ever pair of footwear for my son! Maybe i should have it bronzed?! hahaha!!

ada's new school, taal's new toy

My daughter's new school:
Finally got to have Ada enrolled in her new school. Filed for half day leave today and spent the morning with Kyan and Ada. We went first to pay her fees and get her books. Then spent 2 hours for books and notebook plastic cover-up! I arrived in the office just in time for lunch! After rushing an important analysis, I finally found time to make her sticker label.

its not as good as what kyan does but i think she will like this.

My son's new toy:
I dropped by the department store yesterday to buy diapers for Taal. Scanned thru some toys and actually spent alsmot 30 minutes window shopping on baby toys. Here are some of my favorites...

Most of the nice stuffs are branded. My favorites above are all Fisher Price toys. Ranging from P290.00 to P1,000. I just couldn't spare that much money since i was saving for Ada's enrollment... Besides, I just wanted to buy something small and inexpensive. Something colorful to add to his collection.

And then I found this! Im so glad i scanned thru all the shelves and found this P155.00 toy.

When I got home, i immediately opened it and had Taal play with it. Not only did my baby enjoy this, also me, ada and even kyan did too!! I think i'll buy the bigger link-a-doo bag next time...

Risky Business ala Taal

If Tom Cruise did this in "Risky Business"...

This is Taal in "Monkey Business"!!

Young and thin

Thats me in the middle! Yes, I was once very thin. This was during our practicum, Jan 2002. Stayed in Pasaleng, Pagudpud for almost 2 months. This picture's been my inspiration since the additional 15kgs according to the weighing scale.

The problem with the weight gain really are the clothes I can't wear! I don't want to change my whole wardrobe (did I just say that?!). I'm one person kasi who can't easily let go of things, especially my clothes and my shoes. Because for one, i either bought them with my hard-earned money or they were given to me as a gift. And two, I just can't throw away my stuff! I get too attached to it. Some people can't understand that. pero sorry, ganun ako. That's why i have basuras from way back when i was thinner and still went with life the happy-go-lucky way.

hate it!

No. we don't like havaianas at all! we never wear them and we don't go out wearing one... we don't own a minimum of 3 pairs each and we hate having to wear one kind per day. We hate it so much that we did not buy a pair for our 93-year old Lola which ended up being torn into pieces by a dog. We don't at all visit the havaianas website and we never pass by All Flip Flops when we go malling. NOT!!

Opposite Day!!!

and yes, i am very bored... (4th post today)

hey yah ladies!

Excerpts from my Mom's forwarded email to me...

"...Time passes.
Life happens.
Distance separates.
Children grow up.
Jobs come and go.
Love waxes and wanes.
Men don't do what they're supposed to do.
Hearts break.
Parents die.
Colleagues forget favors.
Careers end.
Sisters are there, no matter how much time and how many miles are
Between you. A girl friend is never farther away than needing her can reach.
When you have to walk that lonesome valley and you have to walk it by
Yourself, the women in your life will be on the valley's rim, cheering you on,praying for you, pulling for you, intervening on your behalf, and waiting with open arms at the valley's end..."

In the office but not

Since yesterday, I've been exerting extra effort to concentrate and think straight. I'm in the office but my mind is still back at home. I just can't help by worry about the kids and kyan. My yaya's been out since sunday. She was suppose to return last night and it would have somehow relieved me from worrying. But I guess she had to extend for her kids' enrollment. Not that Kyan can't handle them but an extra pair of hands would have made things easier. Plus the fact that Kyan can't work, Taal alone is a full time job!

Got to concentrate harder so i can finish early and get my ass home as soon as possible.

A busy busy day ahead. Tuesdays and Wednesdays are the busiest days of my week. Gotta start getting' busy...
