Nakakatawang isipin na napaka konti lang ng litrato na aking kinuha na ang subject ay ang kulay na ito.  Paborito ka pa naman.  Heto lang ang natagpuan ko sa aking baul ng litrato na nasa tema ngayong linggo.

blogging from the new laptop

I just wanted to see if there's any difference blogging from the husband's mac versus my pc.

nope, no difference at all... except maybe the general feeling that the letters and words being written now were processed by the apple company... their OS, their beautiful minimalist desktop layout, the beautifully designed corners of the laptop itself, and the bitten apple logo lighting up (which I cant see).

I want the new canon 50d.  husband asked me, a camera over a laptop, and i said YES without thinking.  A new target...  :-)

I had my anti-flu shot sometime in September.  So its just more or less a little over 3 months now and yet, im starting to feel the flu coming. WHat kind of a shot was that?!

Nose is all red and itchy.

Eyes are droopy and teary.

Breathing heavily.

And the general feeling of weakness.

And its just Wednesday. :-(

the new members of the family

We have a new yaya, manang liza, who arrived last jan 7 from the mountains of mindoro.  She's good. cleans the bathroom every morning. and the whole house too! so walking around the house bare foot is not a worry anymore.  My old yaya's been calling the house.  I have a strong feeling there's an intent to come back, i guess i'll have to say no.

Last week, kyan miraculously got money from her kind-hearted sister Julie for his laptop purchase.  Its a loan payable when able.  So after months and months of lurking aroung philmug.org, his nosyness finally paid off.  He got a second hand mac book pro for a price so good we had to rush to makati saturday morning to check the unit and meet the very handsome and kind-to-mac owner of the macbook pro.  

So the new 2nd hand mac is now 4 days old with us, but i still catch my husband smile in disbelief that he is indeed, a mac owner now!  Haha, dreams do come true.  Ada and I had a good laugh playing with the photo booth yesterday morning.  And Im guessing the husband will be spending more time with his new toy than with me.  Let's give it a month maybe...

I still have lots of topics to write about and i hope i get to find time to write about it before the planning season starts to get busy.

the one big bang of 2009

I have a lot of pending topics to blog about but i had to write about this recent dilemma that we are facing.

My Yaya of 1 year said her goodbye yesterday.   Great timing! (with much sarcasm!) Office will start na on MOnday after the long 2-week break.  

I feel like i just lost a friend.  We have all grown fond of her and we gave all 7 of her kids and her husband a christmas present.  We sponsored her noche buena.  She went home to her family during the break.  We treated her like OUR OWN, and yet, somehow it all didn't matter now.

  She still left and moved to a new family.  

I feel bad not because i gave so much.  I feel bad because she had become family already and i dunno, if at all, she felt the same.  Maybe she did, she did her last batch of laundry early this morning before she left. 

I really couldn't tell the exact reason why she left.  She said she's starting to have back pains because of Taal.  She's moving to a new family with no kids.  All grown up and there's 4 of them helpers in that family.  Some rich family maybe somewhere in BF.

I had to let her go.  She had her flaws but efficiency-wise, i could not complain.  SO i would be a hypocrite if i say, she's not a big loss, because she is.  Oh well, Goodbye "Maman".`

They say, once a door closes, a window opens... that i have to wait and see...
